Trelona® ATBS is a long-term termite baiting system that creates a ring of protection around homes to keep these wood-destroying pests out. It does not attract termites but intercepts them as they search for food. When foraging termites discover the bait stations, they’ll feed on the bait and then travel back to the colony, leaving a pheromone trail behind. When termites return to their underground nest, they’ll interact with other termites and share the bait. Over time, more and more termites will be exposed to the bait, which will cause them to molt improperly and die. The result is the complete elimination of the entire termite population!
Termidor is a highly effective, non-repellent liquid termite technology that targets existing termite colonies and prevents new ones from establishing. It is injected into the soil around homes, creating a continuous zone of protection that these insects cannot detect or avoid. Instead, they touch, ingest, and share the product with their colony, completely unaware that they are doing so. Called the Transfer Effect, the product works slowly and is formulated to give foraging termites a chance to transfer it to other termites, and then, in turn, they’ll transfer it to others. Eventually, the entire termite colony will be exposed to the lethal product and die.
Subterranean termites are naturally attracted to areas with abundant moisture. Factors like leaky pipes, poor drainage, or high humidity create the perfect environment for them. Additionally, termites are drawn to organic materials such as mulch, dead trees, firewood, and water-damaged wood within the structure. Any direct contact between soil and wood also increases the risk of termite activity.
